"THE ARJAU" OPEN MUSICAL CONTEST OF INTERPRETATION

The Fundació L'Arjau i l' Aula de Música del Col·legi Canigó launched the summoning of the 15th edition of The Arjau Open Musical Contest of Interpretation for young of less than 30 years.

The Arjau Contest to which participated more than 1500 young people since his first edition characterizes itself by his opening to all types of instruments, of grouping and of repertoires, reason for which the factor of interpretation will be taken into account, more than other technical aspects suitable to every instrument

The participation methods are the following:

		Individual interpretation (4 categories), the competitor will have to present two works of different train.
		Contemporary Catalan music (2 categories), the competitor will have to present a work of a composer born in the XXth century; the interpretation can be individual or in group
		Room music (2 categories), the grouping is free; the competitor will have to present a work freely chosen.

The final phase will take place at the public Axa Hall of the Illa Diagonal, on April 24th 2010 , with a morning meeting for the finalists of the infantile categories and a meeting in the afternoon for the other finalists. All the meetings are opened to the public and free.
